Firmware Update for Viofo A119 Mini 2
On this page you will find information about firmware updates for the Viofo A119 Mini 2.
Whenever possible, firmware updates should be performed directly through the VIOFO Dashcam App. The app checks whether an update is available for your connected dashcam and guides you through the update process.
Recommended: Firmware update via the VIOFO Dashcam App
For current VIOFO dashcams, updating via the app is the easiest method. Please connect your smartphone to the dashcam via Wi-Fi and check in the VIOFO app whether a firmware update is available.

How to Update the Firmware via the App
- Install or open the latest VIOFO Dashcam App.
- Turn on the dashcam.
- Connect your smartphone to the dashcam via Wi-Fi.
- Open the camera in the VIOFO app.
- Check in the settings whether a firmware update is available.
- Follow the instructions in the app.
- Do not disconnect the dashcam from the power supply during the update.
⚠ Important Note
Please make sure that your dashcam is reliably powered during the firmware update. Do not switch off the camera and do not remove the memory card during the update process.
Alternative: Manual Firmware Update via VIOFO
If updating via the app is not possible, or if VIOFO specifically recommends a manual update, you can download the correct firmware directly from the official VIOFO firmware page.
We no longer host firmware files ourselves. This helps prevent outdated or different firmware versions between Dashcam-Shop and VIOFO. The latest firmware files, version numbers and changelogs are provided directly by VIOFO.

⚠ Important Note About the Correct Firmware File
Please install only firmware that exactly matches your VIOFO model. Installing the wrong firmware may cause malfunctions. Before performing a manual update, please check the exact model name and, if specified by VIOFO, also the serial number of your dashcam.
Why We No Longer Host Firmware Files Ourselves
Firmware versions and changelogs are regularly updated by the manufacturer. To ensure that you always receive the official and most up-to-date files, we link directly to VIOFO and no longer provide our own firmware downloads.
This helps avoid differences between the files offered by us and the current firmware versions provided by the manufacturer.
